Hello, my name is Jo and I am very proud to be the Director of such a talented Chorus. I live in deepest, darkest Somerset and my day time job sees me managing a very busy "Outreach Family Support" team across the county for a Children's Charity. My other, full time job is this wonderful hobby of ours! My journey in Barbershop began several decades ago when I started singing at the age of 12, in a small, four part harmony group in Weston-Super-Mare called Cameo. This group was set up by my Grandmother and Mother and was my first 'toe-dip' into Barbershop. I later joined a Bristol Chorus 'Bristol Fashion' and spent many wonderful years with them singing tenor and generally being spoilt rotten because of my age. Some decades later, I had the privilege of being asked to sing in a quartet which was a whole new experience and with 'No Strings' attained my first Gold Medal in the international Irish Convention in 2000. A change of quartet (and voice part) in 2003 led to me being the baritone of 'HAVOC' who have enjoyed much success winning Gold in 2004 at the Irish Convention and then Bronze at LABBS in 2005, Silver in 2006 and the Gold Medal in 2007. I joined Fascinating Rhythm in 2004 as a singing member and really enjoyed being part of a bigger group again. In 2008 I stepped in temporarily whilst the group were between directors and enjoyed it so much, I applied for the job and was delighted to be successful. I feel very privileged to be part of this 'Singer Driven Chorus'
